Welcome to Pines West Camera Club (PWCC), we are based within the City of Pembroke Pines, Broward County, in South Florida.
If you love photography in any form and are looking to meet people who share that interest, who enjoy the camaraderie of helping one another to learn and grow as photographers and to have fun doing it, we sincerely hope you will join us. This Yahoo Group and our club meetings are open to everyone to enjoy!
The PWCC was formed in June 2000, in response to the need for a combined photographic and digital imaging organization open to all; amateur, professional, young, old, experienced, and novice.
Our goals are education, fun and fellowship. Photography purists and computer artists are encouraged to share their
expertise through "show and tell" and "how to" programs. Digital photography, print and slide formats are welcome. Seasoned professional, novice, film or digital, you'll find something to capture your interest and imagination. Our club belongs to the FCCC (Florida Camera Club Council) and PSA (Photographic Society of America).
PWCC holds meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7 pm, where guests are always welcome.
PWCC meets at the BECON TV station, 6600 Nova Dr., Davie, FL 33137. Nova Dr. is just South of 595, about 1/2 mile East of University Dr. & SE of the Tower Shops where Home Depot is located. The TV Station is in a stand-alone bldg with a very tall antenna on the SE corner of your 1st traffic light intersection.
All attendees of our meetings are reminded:
1. Although there is plenty of parking, please use only the rear bldg entrance on the south side.
2. All PWCC members must wear name badges; all guests upon arrival are required to sign-in our guest book and wear a guest name tag. These name badges and tags also identify us to our hosts as having permission to be in an area of their building.
